BBNTT (Buku Bagi NTT) is a volunteer community in education development field. It has the role to encourage reading activity and provide book to the whole East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) as well. For these 5 years, its volunteers have been working proactively to arouse awareness for the importance of literacy over East Nusa Tenggara. Emerging with the spirit of Service to Society, we independently enlarge our reach to several cities in Indonesia. And so do we at overseas – namely Hong Kong.

Anyone is truly connected with the same vision: escalating the education’s quality in East Nusa Tenggara. With all the might the personnel have, Buku Bagi NTT does engage society to promote the importance of literacy. There, we do gather the book’s donation and also enhance reading activity too. We have already offered book’s donation to more than 150 reading houses and school libraries in East Nusa Tenggara.

Many still have confusion about how to join as volunteers or submit book requests to @bukubagiNTT. Let’s get to know more closely. It does come from a concern for NTT’s relatively poor education conditions. Public awareness of the importance of education does emerge due to limited facilities and infrastructure as the main reasons. No wonder as the gap in Indonesia’s development between the western and eastern regions does matter enormously. However, The focus issue in NTT is the reading interest. Also, it is difficult to find access good and quality reading material -notably in remote areas. This is exacerbated by the lack of library facilities, book stores that are still small, and the price of books that are expensive because the distribution is very far, mostly imported from Java. This community exists to be one solution to this problem.
